Multiple rescued, three hospitalized after arsonist sets southwest Houston apartment complex on fire
HOUSTON, TX – Multiple people were rescued and three were hospitalized after a fire broke out at the Sterling Point Apartments in the 6600 block of Dunlap Street around 10 p.m. on July 4.

Houston Fire Department crews from Engine 51 were initially dispatched for an assault call, but upon arrival discovered signs of a fire in the area. The incident was upgraded to a fire response, with the blaze ultimately located at 6650 Dunlap Street—on the opposite side of the complex from the original address at 6601 Dunlap.
Ladder 51 and District 28 arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a three-story apartment building.
