Man fatally struck in hit-and-run crash near Rice Village

HOUSTON, TX - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash in the 2400 block of Bissonnet Street near Rice Village. https://youtu.be/AFxBzn1PRx0 The crash occurred around 7:25 p.m. A 57-year-old man was standing or walking in the roadway when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver did not remain at the scene. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division Hit and Run Unit is investigating.
