The man was alert, mobile, and transported by ambulance in non-critical condition. According to the Houston Police Department, the victim stated they were playing with guns when one discharged, striking him in the back of the head. Officers are still processing the scene, and the exact circumstances remain under investigation.

The suspects shot the victim three times in the arm, thigh, and leg before fleeing the scene. HOUSTON, TX – Charges have been filed against 31-year-old Kedrick Davol Henry after a deadly shooting that claimed the life of 43-year-old Kenneth Henry Jr. at a home on Church Road. According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to the 12500 block of Church Road around 3:25 p.m. on August 18, 2025, where they found Kenneth Henry Jr. lying inside a residence with at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Investigators learned the victim had been taking out trash when a witness reported hearing multiple gunshots. He returned to the residence shortly afterward and collapsed in the doorway.
