HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A driver was arrested after a pursuit ended when the suspect’s vehicle reportedly ran out of gas at a Popeyes in north Harris County. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office Traffic Crimes Unit, deputies were investigating a parking lot takeover near Greens Road and Interstate 45 North when they observed a vehicle doing donuts in the parking lot. Deputies attempted a traffic stop, but investigators said the driver fled, leading deputies on a several-mile pursuit at speeds exceeding 100 mph. The shooting occurred around 3:56 p.m. in the 8700 block of Black Hawk Ridge near Great Hawk. According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to reports of a drive-by shooting and found two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the second victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
