HOUSTON — A driver was killed after losing control of a Cadillac SUV and overturning on the Northwest Freeway service road near the Fairbanks exit, just before 10 p.m. last night. According to the Houston Police Department, the Cadillac was traveling at a high rate of speed in the 14300 block of the inbound Northwest Freeway service road when the driver lost control, struck a guardrail and overturned. The Cadillac struck another vehicle during the crash. Police said the occupants of that vehicle reported minor injuries and were not believed to have contributed to the crash. HOUSTON, TX - A 29-year-old man is in critical condition after five masked suspects entered an open garage and gunfire broke out in southeast Houston. Officers responded around midnight to the 9900 block of Tiltree for a reported shooting. They found the man suffering from gunshot wounds to his neck, arm and side. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to a hospital in critical condition. He is expected to survive. HOUSTON, Texas – A woman in her 20s was killed after running two red lights and crashing into another car at the intersection of Reveille Street and Telephone Road early Saturday morning. According to the Houston Police Department, preliminary information indicates the woman was traveling southbound on Reveille Street at a high rate of speed around 1:40 a.m. when she ran two red lights before colliding with another vehicle at the intersection. Responding units attempted lifesaving measures, but the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. HOUSTON, TX - A man in a wheelchair was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash Friday night in Houston. According to the Houston Police Department, the man, believed to be about 71 years old, was crossing Telephone Road in a crosswalk near Westover Street around 10:05 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Telephone. HOUSTON, Texas — A man in his 20s died after he was shot with his own firearm during a struggle with his sister, also in her 20s, at the 55 Fifty at Northwest Crossing apartments, located at 5550 Bingle Road yesterday evening. Police say the siblings got into an argument around 8:25 p.m. as the sister was trying to get her brother to leave from the apartment, where she had been allowing him to stay. The man took his sister’s car keys and attempted to leave with her vehicle, leading to another argument and a struggle between the siblings.
