MONTGOMERY, TX – The City of Montgomery Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying an individual involved in the theft of a wallet at Brookshire Brothers Grocery Store, located at 21005 Eva Street. According to police, the incident occurred on January 10, 2025, at approximately 7:40 a.m. A citizen accidentally dropped their wallet while leaving the store. An unknown male, who was behind the citizen during checkout, picked up the wallet but did not turn it in and kept it instead. TEXAS CITY, TX - The Texas City Police Department (TCPD) arrested Franklin Abel Paz-Sagastume, a 38-year-old male from Houston, on charges of Online Solicitation of a Minor. The arrest followed a five-day investigation by TCPD's Internet Crime Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. Paz-Sagastume allegedly began communicating with what he believed was a 14-year-old female at the beginning of January 2025. On Friday, January 10, 2025, he traveled from Houston to Texas City intending to meet the minor for a sexual encounter. According to family members, Tran was last seen driving a dark gray 2017 Lexus with Texas license plate KBB8109. The vehicle was last observed in the Webster area around 8:30 a.m. on January 8, 2025. BAYTOWN, TX – On January 9, 2025, Leondre Lynn, 17, a person of interest in the December 29, 2024, fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man in Baytown, turned himself in to the Port Arthur Police Department. The shooting occurred at an apartment complex in the 3400 block of Shady Hill Drive. Officers responded around 4:30 p.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts by officers and EMS, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Baytown detectives are working closely with Port Arthur authorities to facilitate the next steps in the investigation.
