Woman, dog rescued after overnight apartment fire in northeast Houston
HOUSTON, TX – Fire crews responded to a working apartment fire around midnight on Collingsworth near Crosstimbers in northeast Houston after a chief returning from a previous fire noticed smoke and flames coming from the location and requested a box for a working fire.

The building is a four-unit apartment complex. Firefighters reported the far end unit was involved with fire and began checking the units to make sure everyone got out.
Crews located one female still inside one of the units. The first fire truck arrived about four minutes later and assisted in pulling her out. She was evaluated by EMS for extensive smoke inhalation before being transported to a hospital.
