DALLAS, TX – According to police, a tip submitted to Southwest Patrol Crime Response Team officers led to the seizure of more than 150 kilograms of methamphetamine, cash, and a firearm earlier this month. On October 1, officers located a suspect believed to be trafficking narcotics in the 4300 block of Communications Drive. During a subsequent traffic stop, they discovered 162 kilograms of methamphetamine, approximately $100,000 in currency, and a handgun inside the vehicle. GLADEWATER, TX – A woman was shot and killed after ramming a Gregg County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle while attempting to evade law enforcement late Monday night. According to the Gregg County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on October 6, 2025, near the 1100 block of East Broadway in Gladewater. Deputies with the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Gladewater Police Department were attempting to detain 43-year-old Amanda Allen at a restaurant based on intelligence linking her to narcotics trafficking. AUSTIN, TX – A homicide investigation is underway after a woman was found fatally shot in a field in north Austin early Monday morning. Austin Police Department officers responded to a call around 7:42 a.m. regarding a deceased person in the 8100 block of Research Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers met with the caller and discovered an unresponsive female with apparent trauma. She was pronounced deceased at the scene at 7:53 a.m. Homicide detectives and crime scene specialists processed the area and interviewed witnesses.
