Shootings

During a media briefing, Cmdr. Becker with the Houston Police Department stated at approximately 1:30 a.m., on March 20, 2022, Westside Division Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to a call of a shooting in the 2700 block of Elmside. Officers found one male with a gunshot wound. Preliminary investigation indicated that the male was a suspect in the burglary of a motor vehicle. A confrontation ensued and and the person who did the shooting is said to be cooperating with police. The suspects wounds are non life threatening. The matter will be referred to the Harris County District Attorney to consider charges.

An investigator with the Harris County Sheriff’s Unit, Investigator Isaac Barnett, stated the 15 year old was walking along the sidewalk and was shot in the abdomen at about 5:30 p.m. on March 6, 2022 in the 11900 Block of Greenrock Lane. Investigators have not determined if the child was targeted but do are looking for a tan color vehicle. The victim was taken to an Urgent Care clinic and then was transported via Lifeflight. The victim is in stable condition.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Harris County Sheriff Officers (HCSO) “responded to a shooting at a gas station located at 14960 SH 249. A male at a gas pump was shot while sitting in his vehicle. Multiple shots were fired. The male was confirmed deceased at the scene.” An investigation is ongoing.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a double shooting after two people were shot at The Parkway on Westlake Apartments (16848 W Lake Houston Pkwy, Humble, TX 77346). Both patients appeared to be in stable condition as they were transported off the scene. Details are still unfolding. This occurred at about 11pm on Sunday, February 6, 2022
