Potential Chop Shop Raided by the Houston Police Department

HOUSTON - In what witnesses are describing as a"chop shop" operation was just raided by the Houston Police Department in the 1700 block of Skinner in north Houston. According to one of our Facebook followers who sent in the above picture, there were a lot of cars in the lot as well as several law enforcement officers and tow trucks. HOUSTON – A suspect was fatally shot by Houston Police Department officers after opening fire on them at an apartment complex north of downtown on Friday. The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. at 1250 Leona Street, where officers were responding to an assault call. A man inside the apartment responded by opening the door slightly and firing shots toward the officers. HOUSTON - Charges have been filed against Jeremy Scott Hartman, 19, in connection with a shooting that occurred on November 3, 2022, at approximately 9:40 p.m. at 8700 South Braeswood Boulevard. Hartman is charged with aggravated assault-serious bodily injury in the 178th State District Court. The incident left a 19-year-old male victim critically injured and hospitalized. Man shot and killed under freeway overpass in Northeast Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man was fatally shot in northeast Harris County after an altercation that occurred on Saturday around 6 p.m. The incident took place in the 5200 block of Aldine Mail Route, in the U-turn lane underneath the Eastex Freeway. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the confrontation began when a man, later identified as the victim, exited a Ford Explorer and approached a light-colored sedan. HOUSTON - A fatal hit-and-run crash occurred at 400 Parker Road at approximately 11:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, prompting an investigation by Houston police. The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Raymond Martinez, who is pictured below. Houston Man Sentenced to 60 Years for Continuous Sexual Assault of Children

HOUSTON, TX (January 31, 2024) A 50-year-old Houston man, Daniel A. Reyes-Gomez, has been sentenced to a 60-year prison term without the possibility of parole for the continuous sexual assault of two girls, ages 7 and 12, beginning in 2020. Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg emphasized the importance of trials in such cases to ensure justice for the young victims. Reyes-Gomez was convicted by a Harris County jury and chose to have his punishment determined by a judge, who imposed the sentence on Thursday. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Danielle Oxford and Rachel Barlow, specializing in Crimes Against Children and Trafficking/Exploitation, respectively. Under Texas law, Reyes-Gomez is required to serve the full duration of his sentence.
