Mitchell, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 174th and 230th Criminal District Courts. Mitchell was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. The female victim was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. Her identity is pending notification to next of kin by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Marine veteran Quoc “Jake” Nguyen, 28, who was working as a rideshare driver when he was killed. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Nguyen was found deceased on September 4, 2025, in the 13700 block of Lakewood Forest Drive. Investigators say Nguyen was shot, and his personal belongings and vehicle were taken by the suspects, who then fled the scene.
