Man faces intoxication manslaughter charges after causing fatal accident on Dairy Ashford

HOUSTON – Charges have been filed against Alexander Leiva, 30, following a fatal collision at 9200 South Dairy Ashford Road on February 11, around 8:20 p.m.

Leiva, currently hospitalized, is charged with intoxication manslaughter after a crash that resulted in the death of a 71-year-old woman after a black Ford F-150, driven by Leiva, ran a red light which caused it to crash into a silver Nissan Juke. The Nissan Juke then crashed into a gray Honda CRV. The Nissan’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while Leiva, his passenger, and the occupants of the Honda were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
