MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Shortly before 3 a.m., Deputies with the Montgomery County’s Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation headed southbound on the I-45 southbound feeder road from Sawdust.
As officers tried to pull him over, the suspect vehicle came upon a crash scene. The suspect then put his vehicle into reverse and crashed into the patrol vehicle as the deputy was exiting the vehicle.
This caused the deputy to fall to the ground. Fearing for his life as well as the emergency personnel that was at the crash, the officer discharged his weapon striking the suspect.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital as well as the deputy.
