Rosemary Tucker issues statement addressing online attacks against Hoodies 4 Healing

HOUSTON, TX — Rosemary Tucker, CEO of Hoodies 4 Healing, issued a public statement based on her firsthand account of recent events involving online allegations and public criticism directed at both her and the organization.

According to Rosemary Tucker, the events reflect a pattern of online harassment, cyberbullying, and coordinated efforts to discredit a community-serving, faith-based nonprofit and its leadership.

Tucker stated she was publicly targeted with unverified allegations claiming Hoodies 4 Healing served “rotten food” to homeless individuals. She said those claims were amplified through online ridicule and disparaging commentary associated with QX Global News Network, creating what she described as a narrative intended to shame, demean, and damage the organization’s reputation.

According to Tucker, the online campaign involved multiple individuals, including Nikki Jones of Beyond Fostering, and Judaya Warren of Pursuit 2 Recovery, who she said were working together in partnership at the time of the events in question.

Tucker stated that Judaya Warren and Pursuit 2 Recovery were previously partnered with Hoodies 4 Healing, but that the partnership did not move forward as intended. She said that after the relationship ended, Hoodies 4 Healing delivered food intended to support Warren’s food pantry. According to Tucker, that food was allegedly discarded in the street rather than distributed to people in need, raising concerns she described as related to stewardship, professionalism, and respect for donated resources.

In response to the public allegations, Tucker confirmed that Hoodies 4 Healing underwent an unannounced, on-site inspection by the Houston Health Department. She stated the organization fully cooperated with the inspection and welcomed the review as part of its commitment to transparency and accountability.

Despite the online criticism and public scrutiny, Tucker stated that Hoodies 4 Healing’s outreach efforts continued without interruption. She said the organization continued providing food and resources to unhoused and underserved populations throughout the period in question.

In her statement, Tucker said adversity and smear campaigns did not stop the mission and that Hoodies 4 Healing will continue serving the community. She said the statement was issued in the interest of transparency, accountability, and community awareness, based on her firsthand reporting of the events.
