Oct. 8, 2023 - Frankie Leroy Washington, 32, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection to a fatal vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 2801 Tidwell Road. Washington is slated to face trial in the 263rd State District Court. The identity of the deceased 36-year-old male passenger is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. A booking photo of Washington has been released to the media. The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to a report by the Houston Police Department (HPD) Vehicular Crimes Division, the driver of a Dodge Durango was merging onto the East Freeway main lanes when the vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking on the main lanes. HOUSTON, Texas, Oct. 3, 2023 – Houston Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 4600 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) around 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023. The identities of the deceased man, 34, and woman, 24, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer D. Thompson, the man was operating a Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle southbound near the given address at the split near South Post Oak Road. The identity of the deceased 24-year-old female is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The woman was driving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound on the service road. For reasons yet unknown, she lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and collided with a power pole.
