Three were detained after leading police on a brief high-speed chase in Northeast Houston, witnesses said. The chase ended in the 10600 block of the Eastex Fwy around 1 am on Friday, March 11, 2022. 15 year old in North Houston transported via Lifeflight after being shot during a drive by shooting

An investigator with the Harris County Sheriff’s Unit, Investigator Isaac Barnett, stated the 15 year old was walking along the sidewalk and was shot in the abdomen at about 5:30 p.m. on March 6, 2022 in the 11900 Block of Greenrock Lane. Investigators have not determined if the child was targeted but do are looking for a tan color vehicle. The victim was taken to an Urgent Care clinic and then was transported via Lifeflight. The victim is in stable condition.

Vehicle Fatal Crash Involving Mini Cooper in South Houston

According to Sgt. Rose with the Houston Police Department, a single fatal vehicle crash happened just after 9:00 p.m. on March 5, 2022. The crash happened in the 4600 block of Holmes Road when a Mini Cooper exited the freeway at a high rate of speed. As the driver took the curve onto Holmes Rd, the driver lost control, crashed into several trees, flipped over and was partially ejected since they were not wearing their seatbelt. Police believe that if the driver had been wearing their seatbelt, there is a good chance that driver, while injured would still be alive.

Officials with the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office shut down BayWatchWeekend at Maya Park on March 5, 2022 (2026 Connorvale Rd) after promoters failed to obtain proper permits. More than 3,000 people were in attendance according to HCFMO at the time of shut down.
