Suspected Drunk Driver Arrested After Crashing into Precinct 4 Deputy

HARRIS COUNTY, TX - A driver, suspected of being intoxicated, was arrested after crashing into a Precinct 4 Constable Deputy's vehicle last night, shortly before 10:00 pm, according to Constable Mark Herman. Deputy Leon, from Constable Mark Herman's Office, was assisting the Atascocita Fire Department with traffic control near Atascocita Road and Eagle Springs Parkway when the incident occurred. https://youtu.be/eCGWzkFzxdo The suspect, who displayed multiple signs of intoxication, was detained at the scene. Deputy Leon suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The suspect is set to be booked into the Harris County Jail following his release from the hospital.

Carter, the driver, did not comply, leading to a chase that concluded in the 14200 block of East Sam Houston North, in front Memorial Hermann. Carter showed several signs of intoxication. After Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, it was confirmed she was intoxicated. HOUSTON - Jan. 28, 2024 - 12:10 a.m. - A major accident occurred on the mainlanes of 59, the Southwest Freeway heading northbound in Houston. The incident involved a motorcycle and two vehicles. The motorcyclist, attempting to take an exit at the last minute, collided with a vehicle and was ejected from the bike. The motorcyclist landed in the exit lane and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another car, unable to avoid the motorcycle, collided with it, though the rider was no longer on it. No other injuries were reported. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.

HARRIS COUNTY - Jan. 28, 2024 - A shooting occurred outside a hookah lounge in the 21800 block of Katy Freeway, as reported by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The incident, involving two adult males, started with a disturbance in the parking lot. As one of the parties drove away, he fired shots towards the other male. The wounded male was transported by Lifeflight in serious condition. The male who fired the shots fled eastbound in a white Mercedes Benz. Authorities are requesting anyone with information about the incident to contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office at 713-221-6000 or to get in touch with Crime Stoppers of Houston. HOUSTON, TEXAS – Houston police have confirmed a fatal incident where a pickup truck veered off a connector ramp, resulting in a fire on the Eastex Freeway. The accident occurred just before 3 a.m. at the junction of Highway 59 and Interstate 610. The driver of a Dodge Ram, while traveling west on Interstate 610, attempted to take the exit ramp to Highway 59 north. During this maneuver, the driver lost control of the vehicle.
