Fatal Traffic Collision at T.C. Jester and Gears Intersection HARRIS COUNTY, TX - December 17, 2023 - A severe traffic accident occurred last night at the intersection of T.C. Jester and Gears. The incident, reported at around 10:07 p.m., resulted in one fatality and minor injuries to another person. Harris County Sheriff's Office and Emergency Services District 11 were on the scene. Initial investigations reveal both drivers may have run a red light. The crash involved a westbound vehicle on Gears colliding with another vehicle turning left. Further investigations are underway.

HOUSTON, TEXAS - An altercation at a house party on Juliabora in southeast Houston escalated into a shooting, resulting in one male victim being pronounced deceased at the scene and a female victim hospitalized with gunshot wounds. The shooting took place around 1:10 a.m. According to HPD, the suspect may be a Hispanic male, and potentially a juvenile. Several individuals were detained at the scene, and some of those were found in possession of firearms. HPD's Homicide Unit is currently investigating. HOUSTON, TEXAS - A 14-year-old male was shot in the leg during a robbery at 6400 Antoine Drive. The victim, who was hospitalized, described the suspect as a white male with a beard. Houston Police Department officers responded to the scene after reports of gunshots. The victim received immediate medical care, including a tourniquet for his wound. HPD is conducting an investigation, interviewing potential witnesses and reviewing the victim's account. The department urges anyone with information to contact HPD Robbery or Major Assaults.

Northwest Patrol officers responded to an incident under I-10 at about 11:30 PM, where a car struck a homeless man sleeping under the bridge. The driver, a 17-year-old male, attempted to flee the scene but was detained by employees of a nearby Jack in the Box. The driver showed signs of intoxication and is currently under investigation by DWI officers. The county district attorney's office will determine charges following the investigation. HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS - According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a reported drive-by shooting at the 13700 block of Smokey Trail. HOUSTON, TEXAS, December 8, 2023 - Houston police are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on Friday night. A 17-year-old male was shot in the face during the incident. The victim remained conscious and cooperated with officers before being transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Police responded to a shooting call in the 300 block of Rosamond at approximately 10:30 p.m. However, authorities believe that the shooting incident actually took place at a different location. HOUSTON, TEXAS - A pedestrian, identified as Lauren Renee Goppert, was fatally struck on December 8, 2023, around 11:30 p.m. The incident occurred in the 8900 block of S.H. 6 N in Houston as Goppert was crossing from east to west. The driver of a 2018 Chrysler 300, heading northbound in the middle lane, encountered Goppert in the left lane. Despite efforts to avoid the collision, the vehicle hit Goppert. Upon arrival, Emergency Medical Services found Goppert with no signs of life. The driver of the Chrysler 300 stayed on the scene and showed no signs of intoxication. The incident is under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff's Office Vehicular Crimes Division. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.

HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS - On December 9, 2023, units from the Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a major vehicle accident in the 20000 block of US 90. The incident, involving a single vehicle, resulted in serious injuries to the occupant, who was transported to the hospital via life-flight. Their condition remains unknown at this time.
