Man fatally shot outside of Berry Food Store in north Houston

The Houston Police Department along with the Houston Fire Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 Block of Berry Rd near Appleton St in the Northline area of Houston on August 18, 2022, just after 10:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found one male victim that had been shot in the neck. Dionate D. Banks, a 29-year-old man has been charged with murder and is now wanted in connection with the shooting that occurred outside the Bowlero Bowling Alley on August 14, 2022, that resulted in the death of Gregory Shead. According to police, charges have been filed against Banks in the 209th District Court. Gregory Shead, a 24-year-old father was shot and killed during an argument early Sunday morning between two groups of people outside of Bowlero, a Houston Bowling Alley located in the 900 Block of Bunker Hill, just south of I-10, the Katy Freeway. Two men get away after attempting to steal an ATM from Chase Bank in Tomball with a pickup truck

Tomball police are searching for two men after they attempted to steal an ATM machine from a Chase Bank in Tomball Town Center early Wednesday morning before they realized it was too heavy. According to Tomball Police Chief Jeff Bert, just after midnight two men tried to steal the ATM from the Chase Bank shortly after midnight on August 17, 2022, using a pickup truck and a tow strap. After they arrived at the bank, the suspects tied a tow strap around the ATM and then attached it to their pickup truck. The suspects then used the pickup truck to yank the ATM machine off of its posts but couldn’t move it further than that. HFD: Fire on Crosby Enterprise in Houston Ship Channel was caused by welding

On Friday, August 12, 2022, firefighters with the Houston Fire Department responded to a report of a fire on the Crosby Enterprise that was docked in the Houston Ship Channel for construction. Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke coming from the ship after the fire started in the living quarters for crew members from workers that were welding. All crew personnel were accounted for and off the ship, according to HFD. During the fire, HFD also stated a cooling station was set up using a City of Houston Metro bus for Houston Firefighters to cool off in as they worked in the blazing heat. Houston Police need your help identifying suspects that allegedly stole 5,000 gallons of diesel gasoline in the 800 block of South State Highway 6 in late July 2022. The suspects and their vehicles were caught by a surveillance camera. According to police, the suspects are believed to be driving two white Ford pickup trucks. The Atascocita Fire Department responded to a five-car pile-up on West Lake Houston at FM 1960 in Atascocita, Texas around 11:30 p.m. on August 15, 2022. https://www.youtube.com/embed/1LXfDfXHAQ0 Witnesses that were involved in the crash stated that their car was crossing the intersection headed northbound on West Lake Houston when another vehicle t-boned the car next to them. Police were dispatched to the 2900 Block of Brewster near US-59, the Eastex Freeway around 6:20 p.m in Houston’s Fifth Ward after a report of a drive by shooting. Upon arrival, police found a teenager that had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics rushed the teen to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Infant killed after being struck by man leaving party in west Houston

An infant was struck and killed by a driver leaving a party from a west Houston apartment complex. File Photo: Houston Police Patrol Vehicle The tragic accident happened at about 1:15 a.m. on August 15, 2022 when police say a car struck a 1-year-old infant.  The accident occurred at the Marquis at Westchase located at 2777 Woodland Park Dr. in west Houston near Westheimer Rd.   The driver, a male who is 33 year old was leaving a party at the apartment complex in a white Alfa Romeo Stelvio, when the vehicle struck the infant. The driver, drove both the parents and the child to HCA Healthcare West. Doctors at HCA Houston Healthcare West were not able to save the baby and the baby was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
