One dead in single-vehicle crash on Summit Bridge Road in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, DELAWARE — Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred early Friday morning on Summit Bridge Road. Around 7:19 a.m. on October 10, 2025, a Buick LaCrosse was traveling northbound near Old Summit Bridge Road when it left the east side of the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a telephone pole. The driver, a 27-year-old man from Middletown, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld pending family notification. The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Corporal K. FRISCO, TEXAS — A 45-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder after a road-rage confrontation ended in a fatal shooting in the parking lot of Frisco High School on Thursday night, police said. Frisco police responded at about 8:31 p.m. on October 9, 2025, to reports of gunfire at 6401 Parkwood Blvd. Officers found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds and began life-saving measures. The victim, identified by authorities as 34-year-old Robert Taylor of Plano, was taken to a nearby hospital by Frisco Fire Department EMS and later pronounced dead.
