Man dies after losing control on the South Loop

HOUSTON, TX - A vehicle crash on the South Loop resulted in one fatality and one person injured early this morning. The incident occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 7100 block of South Loop East. According to police, the vehicle was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control, causing the car to go off the road. The vehicle flipped multiple times before crashing into a metal fence on the feeder road. Houston Fire Department (HFD) personnel had to extricate the driver from the vehicle. The male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, while a female passenger was transported to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. First responders called after man in distress climbed on top of an apartment roof in NW Houston

HOUSTON, TX - A man decided to climb on an apartment complex roof Monday morning and refused to come down. It was captured on the Citizen app. The Houston Fire Department and the Houston Police Department were both called to the Somerset Apartments located on Tidwell around 10:30 a.m. After about an hour and a half of talking to first responders, the man finally came down on his own free will onto a balcony and entered an apartment residence. HOUSTON, TX - A man was shot and killed over $20 in front of a food truck. The victim stated that he will get them $20, went back to the apartments nearby and came back with a pistol. He then pointed the pistol at the suspects but did not pull the trigger.
