Houston Firefighter Marcelo Garcia killed during three-alarm warehouse fire

HOUSTON, TX - Houston Firefighter Marcelo Garcia died following a vacant warehouse fire last night in the sixty-six-hundred block of Polk. According to Chief Munoz, firefighters responded to the blaze at 10:50 p.m., with units arriving on scene six minutes later. A second alarm was issued shortly after their arrival, and at 11:04 p.m., a mayday call was made when a wall collapsed and trapped firefighters. Precinct 4 Constable Deputy murdered on his way to work

HOUSTON, TX - A shooting near the intersection of Richmond and Fondren took place Tuesday afternoon around 12:35 p.m. According to Chief Diaz of the Houston Police Department, the victim, a Precinct 4 Deputy was shot while on his way to work. HARRIS COUNTY, TX - A newborn was found in the trash earlier this morning by sanitation workers. https://youtu.be/FWZ0_hacMa8 According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, they were dispatched just before 9:30 a.m. to the 13200 block of Fountaincrest Court in the Chimney Hill subdivision located in northwest Harris County. When deputies arrived they found an infant at the bottom of a waste collection truck. They believe the baby is a boy between one and thirty days old. The Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Division is currently investigating and this is a developing story. We will update you as soon as we learn more. HOUSTON, TX - 8 year old Ana, 15 year old Evelen and 11 year old Julisa Zelaya were killed in a fire that broke out yesterday morning at a condo complex in southwest Houston. https://youtu.be/SvyzpdzmzLo A passerby called 911 after noticing a fire in the 8100 block of Albacore just before 6 a.m. Firefighters arrived 4 minutes later but it was already too late. A 21 year old who was able to escape the fire tried to go back in several times but was unsuccessful. He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

HOUSTON, TEXAS - The Houston Police Department has released the names of six individuals who died in a traffic accident at 2000 Fannin Street around 2 a.m. on Saturday, November 11. The deceased are Izuchu Oragwu, 31, Frank Johnson, 31, Zachary McMillian, 32, Derek Hayden, 33, Christian Herrera, 25, and Lauren Robinson, 32. The incident occurred when a black Acura SUV, driven by Ms. Robinson and heading eastbound on Pierce Street, entered the intersection with Fannin Street on a green light. Simultaneously, a black Chrysler 300 driven by Mr. Herrera, traveling southbound on Fannin Street at a high rate of speed, ran a red light and collided with the Acura.
