Mother hospitalized after house fire possibly involving cooking equipment tears through roof
HOUSTON, TX – Firefighters responded to a working house fire where flames were already coming through the roof when crews arrived on scene.

This happened in the 11300 block of Glenwolde Drive.
Officials said there were unconfirmed reports of a possible explosion. The mother sustained spot burns to her leg and was transported to a hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
The fire is believed to have started in the garage, possibly involving cooking equipment, before spreading to the rest of the home. About ten minutes into the incident, flames were reported to be shooting approximately 12 to 20 feet above the roof and remained at that intensity for some time due to a heavy fire load inside.
