Investigators say Xavier Martinez, born January 4, 2005, pepper-sprayed the victim while Jace Fields, born September 25, 1998, recorded the attack and urged him on before the two fled the scene. AMARILLO, TX – A 46-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with an RV fire that left one person dead, according to the Amarillo Police Department. File Photo (October 2025) On October 27, 2025, at approximately 4:53 a.m., officers were dispatched to a trailer fire near NW 5th Avenue and Lamar Street. When they arrived, the RV was fully engulfed in flames. Officers secured the area and helped evacuate nearby homes until the fire was extinguished.
