On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., deputies from the Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) responded to an unknown medical emergency in the 800 block of Ashland Blvd in east Harris County. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult black female unresponsive from unknown causes. The woman was promptly transported via ambulance to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Deputies interviewed the female's boyfriend, who reported that he and the victim were engaged in a sex act described as "erotic asphyxiation" when she became unresponsive. Father arrested in connection with the death of nine-year-old infant

The father, Michael Fisher, has been arrested and charged with injury to a child-serious bodily injury in the death of a nine-month-old infant. The cause of death is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Fisher, the child's father, transported the unresponsive baby to the hospital on March 17th, where the infant was pronounced dead on March 20th.
