HOUSTON, TX – Houston police are investigating after a man was found deceased beneath the North Loop East overpass late Thursday night. The discovery was made around 10:10 p.m. in the 7600 block of North Loop East (North Interstate Highway 610). According to the Houston Police Department, the man, believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, was found hanging under the middle of the overpass with burns on his body. Houston Fire Department personnel were already on scene when HPD officers arrived. The cause of death will be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences following an autopsy. AMARILLO, TX – A Randall County Grand Jury has indicted 38-year-old Joanna Bartlett for murder following the fentanyl overdose death of 22-year-old Sheridan Taylor, who was pregnant at the time of her death. On December 25, 2024, Amarillo police responded to the 5700 block of Midsummer Court where they found Taylor unresponsive. She was later pronounced deceased. An autopsy determined the cause of death was acute fentanyl toxicity. In that incident, a man was killed while attempting an unsafe U-turn near Miller Cut Off Road. Details about what led to the semi-truck crash and whether there were any injuries remain unknown. BAYTOWN, TX – Baytown Police are investigating the death of a 46-year-old man who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a reported family disturbance. The suspect had left before police arrived but was later found in a nearby parking lot in the 7000 block of North State Highway 146. HOUSTON, TX – HPD officers responded to the 3400 block of Richmond Ave near the Greenway Plaza area after a man climbed up onto a school bus. Video footage from the Citizen app shows officers responding to the scene to get the man down.
