HOUSTON, TX – A Metro Houston bus became stuck under the I-10 bridge at Studemont late Tuesday evening after reportedly jumping a curb in a construction area. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. and was observed by one of our viewers, who also sent in photos from the scene. According to the viewer, the bus may have had a flat tire and was unable to move from its position under the bridge. It is currently unknown whether there were any riders on board at the time of the incident. No injuries have been reported, but that information has not been confirmed. AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced the death of Highway Patrol Trooper Jerry Wayne Adamick Jr., 44, following a traffic crash in San Jacinto County. According to DPS, Trooper Adamick was driving on FM 945 South around 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 15 when he was responding to assist law enforcement partners with an emergency call. His vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash remains under investigation. "Our hearts are broken today," DPS Colonel Freeman F. Martin said. "Trooper Adamick bravely served our country for many years, and we were proud to have him choose to continue his service as part of the DPS family. HOUSTON, TX – Houston police have released surveillance photos of three persons of interest and their vehicles related to the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old man at an apartment complex in the 11675 block of West Bellfort Avenue. The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. on September 15. Officers arrived to find the male victim lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. His identity is pending notification to next of kin by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A suspect was arrested after reportedly fleeing the scene of a crash involving an Aldine ISD school bus on FM 1960 Bypass Road West. According to Constable Mark Herman, on September 15, 2025, a deputy with his office responded to the 8500 block of FM 1960 Bypass Road West at Kenswick Drive following a hit-and-run crash involving a Hyundai Sonata and a school bus. The driver of the Sonata fled the scene. The deputy later located the suspect vehicle abandoned at Jesse Jones Park. Investigators discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen. The suspect, identified as Anderson Prete-Silva, attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested two suspects after a vehicle pursuit ended near 9799 Antoine Drive and West Road in northwest Harris County. The incident began when deputies attempted to stop a reckless driver near the 2200 block of North Sam Houston Tollway West. The driver refused to stop, leading deputies on a chase.
