HARRIS COUNTY, TX – The Harris County Precinct 8 Constable’s Office announced two arrests following a narcotics search warrant carried out in the 900 block of Shawnee Street on Sept. 4, 2025. According to the Constable’s Office, the Street Crimes Unit, assisted by the Precinct 2 Special Operations Unit, located three individuals inside the residence during the search. Two were identified as Meghann Jean Coleman, 42, and Jose Angel Munoz, 46. A third female was released without charges. Munoz was found to have an active theft warrant from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the search also uncovered approximately 2 grams of cocaine, 34.5 grams of methamphetamine, 13.6 grams of methamphetamine pills totaling 87 in count, 1.6 grams of heroin, and three firearms. SPLENDORA, TX – A man was arrested after police said he attempted to use an Uber driver to deliver a package containing narcotics. According to the Splendora Police Department, the suspect arranged for an Uber to transport a box he claimed contained baby wipes. The driver became suspicious after noticing a strong odor from the package and instead brought it to the Splendora Police Department. Upon inspection, officers said the box contained a large amount of methamphetamine and several THC cartridges concealed inside. EL PASO, TX – Four individuals have been charged in connection with a scheme to smuggle children from Mexico into the United States, sometimes using THC-laced candy to sedate them during smuggling attempts. According to court documents, Mexican nationals Susana Guadian and Daniel Guadian, both 50; Dianne Guadian, 32, a U.S. citizen; and Manuel Valenzuela, 35, a lawful permanent resident residing in El Paso, were charged in the Western District of Texas with conspiracy to transport aliens and bringing aliens into the United States for financial gain. STAFFORD, TX – A man identified as Adrian Mercado, 35, is accused of fatally shooting 32-year-old Thomas Goodson before barricading himself inside a residence in Stafford and exchanging gunfire with officers. The incident began around 9:55 p.m. on September 3, 2025, when Mercado’s father arrived at the Stafford Police Department and reported that his son had just killed someone at a home in the 13000 block of Lawrence Lane. He also warned that Mercado was armed and dangerous. Responding officers located Goodson deceased in the backyard of the residence. AUSTIN, Texas – An Armenian national made his initial appearance in federal court in Austin after being indicted and extradited on charges connected to an alleged export control conspiracy. According to court documents, from February 2022 until at least August 2024, Kamo Kirakosyan and others allegedly participated in a conspiracy to export goods, including items used in semiconductor manufacturing, from the United States to the Russian Federation through Armenia without the required license or authorization from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security. TRINITY COUNTY, TX – Multiple Facebook groups across East Texas have blocked Giovanni Livoti, who operates under the name Trinity County Media, after repeated allegations of posting false or unverified information. According to administrators of the San Jacinto County, Texas Facebook group, Livoti most recently shared a misleading memorial photo that incorrectly identified a young girl as deceased when the actual victim was a young boy. The girl’s family reported significant distress following the post. The error was only corrected after Grizzy’s Hood News, based in Houston, TX, publicly called out the misinformation.
