BAYTOWN, TEXAS - February 4, 2024 - An aggravated robbery occurred on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at approximately 9:40 a.m. at a Subway restaurant located at 3600 Garth Rd. The suspect entered the establishment and brandished a black handgun, which he pulled from his waistband. The employee present at the time of the incident managed to escape to the restroom, where they locked themselves inside for safety. The suspect was described as wearing a black hoodie sweater, gray sweatpants, a red beanie with a black hat over it, black tennis shoes, and a single black glove on his left hand. HOUSTON - A fatal hit-and-run crash occurred at 400 Parker Road at approximately 11:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, prompting an investigation by Houston police. The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Raymond Martinez, who is pictured below. The driver involved did not stop to render aid and immediately fled the scene. Houston Fire Department paramedics declared Martinez deceased at the scene of the accident. February 5, 2024 - In Spring, Texas, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office District 2 Patrol Division arrested two suspects on February 2, 2024, for mail theft following a report of theft in progress around 11 p.m. at the 2300 Block of Legends Gate Drive. The report, made by a caller who observed the suspects stealing mail and fleeing in a Lincoln Town Car, prompted deputies to swiftly locate and stop the suspect vehicle. Upon conducting a traffic stop, 40-year-old Christopher McCaffrey and 33-year-old Maygain Leija, both from Houston, Texas, were identified as the suspects. February 5, 2024 - A man was arrested for indecent exposure on February 3, 2024, after a deputy from Constable Mark Herman's office (Precinct 4) spotted him in a public parking lot of a restaurant on the 4600 block of FM 1960 Road, intentionally exposing his sexual organs to customers. The suspect, identified as Patrick Sandifer, was observed exposing his genitals to nearby customers. Following his detention and identification, Sandifer was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure. He was subsequently booked into the Harris County Jail, with his bond set at $100.00, as confirmed by Constable Mark Herman. The charges were filed in County Court 14.

HOUSTON, TEXAS - February 5, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Saturday, February 3, at the 12500 block of North Freeway around 2:55 a.m. The crash resulted in the death of 33-year-old Joshua Ivie. According to the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, a 27-year-old male driving a white Chevrolet Silverado southbound on the North Freeway collided with a silver Kia Soul. The Kia was disabled from a previous accident and was stationary in the right-hand lane of the exit ramp. The collision pushed the Kia into Joshua Ivie, who had exited the disabled vehicle. PEARLAND, TX - The Pearland Police Department has successfully arrested and indicted five individuals for their involvement in organized criminal activity related to "jugging" offenses, following investigations by the department's Special Investigations Unit. The arrests address a series of incidents reported in October and November 2023, where primarily elderly individuals were targeted after withdrawing cash from banks within Pearland city limits. These victims were subsequently followed and either robbed or had their vehicles burglarized to steal the withdrawn cash. HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS - (February 3, 2024) Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office shot a woman several times in her own apartment while responding to a burglary report early Saturday morning. The incident occurred at The Pines of Woodforest apartments located at 90 Uvalde Road in east Harris County, around 2:06 a.m. Responding to a life-in-danger call, deputies arrived at the scene to address a reported burglary. MIDLAND COUNTY, TEXAS (FEBRUARY 1, 2024) The Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department, together with the Midland, TX Fire Department and the Midland County Northeast Volunteer Fire Department, responded to an oilfield explosion. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident. The fire was quickly brought under control. The swift and effective response of the fire departments was commended.
