AUSTIN, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced a statewide outage impacting driver license offices, resulting in their closure for the remainder of December 30, 2024. Fatal accident under investigation at Phoenician Apartments

HOUSTON, TX – A fatal accident occurred at the Phoenician Apartments, located at 2345 Bering Drive, around 8:34 a.m. https://youtu.be/9-5cgWMvfVM According to the Houston Police Department, the driver of a white Nissan Pathfinder was traveling at a low speed through an apartment complex when the vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied Toyota Land Rover. The vehicle came to a stop shortly after. The driver, a 53-year-old male, is believed to have suffered a medical episode and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. The identity of the deceased is pending notification of family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
