HOUSTON, TEXAS (March 8) - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 55-year-old man at 6146 Glenhurst Drive around 7:55 p.m. on Friday. Upon responding to a shooting call at the specified address, HPD patrol officers discovered the victim unresponsive in the driveway of a residence. The victim had sustained one gunshot wound, and Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. Houston police are investigating the death of a woman in her mid-40s found deceased in her car in the 4800 block of Briscoe. According to police, the woman went missing in the Willowbrook area of Houston after she went to a local convenience store to get snacks around 1 a.m. After she did not return home as planned, the family tracked her phone and found her deceased inside her vehicle in Southeast Houston around 7 p.m. with signs of blunt force trauma. The exact cause of death is pending further investigation by the Medical Examiner.
