HARRIS COUNTY, TX - Today, a man identified as 19-year-old Junsz Joseph was shot and killed on the Eastex Service Rd. https://youtu.be/blSSklKYZUA According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the driver of a cadillac was northbound in the feeder road of the Eastex Freeway at Lauder. Either a gray or dark-colored SUV or crossover type of vehicle approached his vehicle and opened fire striking both the vehicle and Joseph. The suspect then fled the scene. HOUSTON, Texas - Texas Center for the Missing has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Houston Police Department (HPD) for 68-year-old Leeo Gistand. Leo Gistand (Credit: TX Center for the Missing) Gistand was last seen on July 20, 2024, at 4 p.m., on foot in the 1700 block of Gessner Road, Houston, Texas. He was wearing a red and black baseball cap, a black tank top, light blue jeans, glasses, and walking with a cane. Gistand has been diagnosed with dementia. According to police, officers responded to the townhome after the man pulled out a pistol and threatened his father. Officers were able to get the father and the mother out of the townhome safely but the male suspect barricaded himself in the garage that he lives in. FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas, July 10, 2024 – The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Team has exhumed remains in an effort to resolve a cold case from 1964, leveraging recent advancements in forensic biology and DNA analysis. Authorities hope these technological advances will generate new leads and help close the longstanding case. The remains, identified as those of a dark-haired white male approximately 6 feet tall and weighing between 180-185 pounds, were originally discovered on June 11, 1964, off FM 359 near the Jones Creek bridge. The victim, around 50 years old at the time of his death, was found decapitated with his hands and legs amputated and left in a ditch.
