Driver dies after being shot along the Eastex Freeway

HARRIS COUNTY, TX - Today, a man identified as 19-year-old Junsz Joseph was shot and killed on the Eastex Service Rd. https://youtu.be/blSSklKYZUA According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the driver of a cadillac was northbound in the feeder road of the Eastex Freeway at Lauder. Either a gray or dark-colored SUV or crossover type of vehicle approached his vehicle and opened fire striking both the vehicle and Joseph. The suspect then fled the scene. HOUSTON, Texas - Texas Center for the Missing has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Houston Police Department (HPD) for 68-year-old Leeo Gistand. Leo Gistand (Credit: TX Center for the Missing) Gistand was last seen on July 20, 2024, at 4 p.m., on foot in the 1700 block of Gessner Road, Houston, Texas. He was wearing a red and black baseball cap, a black tank top, light blue jeans, glasses, and walking with a cane. Gistand has been diagnosed with dementia. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, she had what appeared to be stab wounds At this time, there is no description of the suspect or what led up to the stabbing but the suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous and residents in the area should use caution. Man drowns in Muleshoe Lake

HARRIS COUNTY - A man was reportedly missing Saturday night after his friend said he went swimming and never came back up. This was in Muleshoe Lake by the San Jacinto River. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the man's body was recovered after Texas Parks and Wildlife and a Harris County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit searched for him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to police, officers responded to the townhome after the man pulled out a pistol and threatened his father. Officers were able to get the father and the mother out of the townhome safely but the male suspect barricaded himself in the garage that he lives in. HOUSTON, July 14, 2024 – Jesus Ventura Lopez, 17, has been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon following a shooting incident at 7400 Walker Street around 9:10 a.m. on Sunday. The 57-year-old victim was critically injured and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. According to HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division patrol officers responded to a call at a residence near the incident location and found the victim with a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics quickly transported him to the hospital.
