HOUSTON, TEXAS - A pedestrian, identified as Lauren Renee Goppert, was fatally struck on December 8, 2023, around 11:30 p.m. The incident occurred in the 8900 block of S.H. 6 N in Houston as Goppert was crossing from east to west. The driver of a 2018 Chrysler 300, heading northbound in the middle lane, encountered Goppert in the left lane. Despite efforts to avoid the collision, the vehicle hit Goppert. Upon arrival, Emergency Medical Services found Goppert with no signs of life. The driver of the Chrysler 300 stayed on the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
