The driver of that vehicle was detained by officers, but as of last check with HPD, no one had been detained in connection with the hit-and-run. The investigation is ongoing.

According to the Houston Police Department, two males exchanged gunfire within the complex. One of the individuals was struck twice in the leg. The injured male was found in possession of a firearm with a stripped-off serial number and was reportedly uncooperative with officers. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The second suspect fled the scene before police arrived. The investigation is ongoing.

The man was alert, mobile, and transported by ambulance in non-critical condition. According to the Houston Police Department, the victim stated they were playing with guns when one discharged, striking him in the back of the head. Officers are still processing the scene, and the exact circumstances remain under investigation.

The fight escalated, leading to gunfire. The victim, described as a male between 15 and 17 years old, was struck once in the chest. Multiple witnesses have been detained as police continue gathering statements to determine what led up to the shooting.
