The black sedan came to rest facing the wrong direction in the middle of the freeway and was disabled. One female occupant was inside the black sedan at the time of the initial collision. It is currently unknown if she died from the first impact or from a secondary crash. A Ford Explorer carrying two women stopped nearby in an effort to provide assistance. HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle on State Highway 249 Saturday night. A doctor who was nearby stopped to render first aid until emergency crews arrived. The pedestrian, described as a Hispanic male approximately 25 to 40 years old, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
