She was arrested on December 30 following a months-long investigation. According to Houston police, officers responded to the residence around 7:45 p.m. on March 25 and discovered Nayeli Perez, 16, unresponsive in her bedroom. A search of the vehicle uncovered three live pythons, a loaded firearm, and illegal narcotics, including marijuana. Court documents indicate Gaulden was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon while engaged in criminal activity. The pythons were released to a family member who arrived at the scene.
