HOUSTON, TX – Houston police are awaiting autopsy results after a 78-year-old man died following a house fire in the 5700 block of Flamingo Drive around 10:40 p.m. last night. https://youtu.be/056A_5mbcnE Officers arrived and found Houston Fire Department firefighters and paramedics removing the male from the residence. He was transported to a nearby hospital after being rescued, where he was later pronounced deceased. The man’s 55-year-old son was also in the home and was able to escape with minor injuries. The cause of death is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the HFD Arson Bureau.

HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot while in his vehicle outside his home in northeast Houston around 8 p.m. https://youtu.be/TJdV7RU0zuo The shooting occurred in the 8700 block of Valley Pond Court. According to the Houston Police Department, a young Black male, believed to be in his 20s and dressed in all black, approached the victim and fired multiple shots into the vehicle, striking the man once in the arm. The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. HOUSTON, TX – An elderly woman was killed just before 2 a.m. during an exchange of gunfire with burglars at a residence. https://youtu.be/yp1FkhSGPE4 Houston police say two suspects, a Black male and a Black female wearing masks, entered the home and exchanged gunfire with the homeowner. Police said the homeowner, a woman in her late 70s, struck both suspects during the gunfight. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both suspects were transported to area hospitals, where one remains in critical condition and the other is in stable condition. Police confirmed there were other people inside the home at the time, but none of them exchanged gunfire with the suspects. The incident is being investigated by the Houston Police Department Homicide Division.

HOUSTON, TX – A brief pursuit ended in a crash after a vehicle went through a guardrail in the 1400 block of White Oak Drive near the North Freeway. https://youtu.be/sP6piR6-_Ks The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. Sunday. After the crash, at least one suspect fled the scene on foot, prompting officers to set up a perimeter. A K9 unit was called to assist in the search. However, no suspects were detained, and the perimeter was eventually collapsed. It is unknown if additional suspects were involved.

HOUSTON, TX – A man was found deceased in a vehicle in the 7000 block of Chasewood with a gunshot wound to the head after a citizen flagged down an officer on routine patrol. https://youtu.be/eMaNjiqCfVM The citizen alerted the officer that a male was unconscious and not breathing inside a parked vehicle. The officer located the vehicle and found an adult male in the driver’s seat who was unresponsive. The man had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
