While the officer was blocking the entry ramp, a pickup truck struck the patrol vehicle, causing significant damage and injuring the officer. The officer was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition. The driver of the pickup truck is in custody, and investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

HOUSTON, TX – Two young girls were killed in a fire at a Greenspoint townhome late Wednesday night, and their mother and grandfather were also injured in the fire while trying to rescue the children. https://youtu.be/ivR53-otz_Y The Houston Fire Department responded to the blaze around 11 p.m. at a townhome complex near Casa Grande Drive and Buckle Lane, where crews encountered heavy fire. The mother and grandfather were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment. About 60 firefighters responded to contain the blaze and prevent further damage. The Houston Fire Department’s arson unit is investigating the cause. The names and ages of the children have not been released.

According to investigators, the man was driving a vehicle when he became involved in a confrontation with another man on a bicycle. During the encounter, the man in the car was shot. He then drove a short distance before crashing into a ditch and a utility pole. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim is described as a male in his mid-40s. The suspect on the bicycle fled the scene and has not been located. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage in the area in hopes of identifying him.

HOUSTON, TX – A man was ejected and killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash early Sunday morning in the 4000 block of Airport Boulevard, just west of Cullen in southeast Houston. https://youtu.be/QNagG4JJI6E According to the Houston Police Department's Vehicular Crimes Division, a red Ford pickup truck was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control. The vehicle spun sideways across the median, struck a concrete manhole, and flipped side-over-side two times before coming to rest against a guardrail on the opposite side of the road. The driver, described only as an adult Hispanic male, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected during the rollover.
