HOUSTON, TX – Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three persons of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 5330 North Braeswood Boulevard about 12:50 a.m. on December 7. According to police, the individuals are described only as three masked males. The identity of the deceased victim, believed to be 30 to 40 years old, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the North Braeswood location and found a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased. HOUSTON, TX – According to police, a Honda motorcycle struck a pedestrian on the main lanes of the Northwest Freeway at approximately 3:05 a.m. https://youtu.be/TC4oNf68JLk The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department Engine 38. The motorcycle rider was transported to Memorial Hermann with several broken bones and is expected to undergo surgery. His condition appears stable, but no final prognosis has been provided. Several citizens stopped to assist and told officers they saw the rider alone on the motorcycle moments before the wreck. Police stated there is no evidence of any other vehicles involved at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.

HOUSTON, TX – Firefighters responded to an abandoned building fire at 6355 Griggs Road at 12:17 a.m. December 8. https://youtu.be/IEW8CByAS6c Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the structure. High winds made suppression efforts difficult, leading to additional Houston Fire Department units being requested. Firefighters brought the blaze under control in a little over an hour. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. HFD Arson investigators were called to determine the cause and origin. Forty-eight personnel responded from Stations 23, 20, 26, 18, 25, 35, 40, 24 and Rehab 42. HFD Arson investigators noted this is the third fire at the same location, following incidents on August 22, 2024, and October 18 of this year.

The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. when a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed failed to maintain a single lane and hit the barrier separating the service road from the freeway entrance. The vehicle caught fire and burned. One occupant was found inside the vehicle. According to police, the vehicle was heavily burned, and no identifiers are available at this time. Two people were pronounced deceased.

HOUSTON, TX – A homeowner is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects who caused significant property damage between 9:30 and 9:50 p.m. on December 5 in north Houston. https://youtu.be/-bzM8Cz6_Go The incident occurred in the area of Karlow Trail Lane and Regional Park Drive near Hardy Street, where the suspects rammed a vehicle between two houses. The impact caused a gas line break, knocked a recently installed generator off its base, and damaged an air-conditioning unit.
