The rider was ejected and struck a separate vehicle that was stopped at the light. CPR was administered at the scene, but the rider was pronounced deceased shortly afterward. HOUSTON, TX – A man in his early to mid-20s is in critical condition following a shooting near a gas station exit in the 6300 block of Windswept. https://youtu.be/OgvqjvVLwUY The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. Officers responded to a shooting call and located a Hispanic male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital and underwent surgery. A second individual, who was not critically injured, arrived at the hospital shortly afterward and is believed to be connected to the incident. The Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults Division is investigating.

HOUSTON, TX – A United Airlines flight bound for Frankfurt was diverted back to Houston shortly after takeoff Saturday evening. https://youtu.be/C9VKiiZJtnE Flight N217UA, operated on a Boeing 777-200, departed Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) at 6:24 p.m. CDT on May 31, 2025, but returned to IAH by 8:14 p.m. The Houston Fire Department met the aircraft upon arrival. HOUSTON, TX – A brief police pursuit ended around 2 a.m. after a suspect crashed a stolen vehicle into a home in the 6700 block of Cotton. https://youtu.be/upzzbxiMxJM Officers had spotted the stolen vehicle they were searching for in the area and initiated a short pursuit. After officers used an approved stopping technique, the driver lost control and crashed into a home. The suspect fled the scene on foot following the crash but was detained by officers shortly after. A 25-year-old man, who was in bed inside the home at the time of the crash, sustained injuries. He was transported by the Houston Fire Department to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

HOUSTON, TX – A law enforcement pursuit that began around 11:50 p.m. in Houston traveled across multiple counties before ending near Cleveland, Texas, shortly after 12:30 a.m. https://youtu.be/UT00AEpWPDg The chase reportedly started somewhere in the loop. The driver continued north through Harris and Montgomery counties before ending up in Liberty County. The pursuit ended when the driver exited the roadway near Majnik and Dudley on the U.S. 59 North Bypass, using the U-turn under the Eastex Freeway in Cleveland. The driver, who was operating a pickup truck, was evaluated by EMS on scene but was not transported to a hospital. The pursuit may have been initiated on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
