Upon arrival, they found Houston Fire Department crews already on scene. One adult male victim was located on the sidewalk north of McGowen near the Bremond sign and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second adult male victim was found on the train platform south of McGowen with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition. HOUSTON, TX – A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle after stopping in the middle of the freeway and exiting her car to check her tire. https://youtu.be/NFpiWFU7TN0 The crash occurred around 9:46 p.m. on Jan. 8 on the South Loop East near Broad Street. The woman, believed to be in her late 20s to early 30s, was hit by an oncoming vehicle after she got out of her car. Deputies reported no signs of intoxication at the scene. Eastside Patrol officers responded and found an adult male with at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Further investigation revealed the victim was on duty when he was approached by a suspect described only as a white or Hispanic male. HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Fire Department (HFD) responded overnight to a defensive house fire in the 12000 block of 5th Street in the Alief area of Houston. https://youtu.be/cCHT4q3jN0U Firefighters rescued a dog from the home, administered oxygen, and cooled it down with water. The dog is reported to be doing fine. No injuries were reported to firefighters or civilians. The resident was not home at the time of the fire and has not yet been contacted.
