HOUSTON, TX – A man was stabbed during a family disturbance at a home in southeast Houston. The stabbing occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 6900 block of Flamingo Drive. HOUSTON, TX – Dr. Matthews visited the Life at Jackson Square apartment complex today, formerly known as Nob Hill, after tenants requested assistance over what residents described as ongoing safety, maintenance, and sanitation concerns at the property. During the walkthrough, residents pointed out vacant and boarded apartments, trash buildup, broken mailboxes, damaged laundry facilities, and apartments they said were accessible to anyone entering the property. Tenants also said there were rats, roaches, flies, maggots, and other infestations throughout the complex. According to police, the incident began around 9 p.m. near a convenience store in the 8600 block of Broadway. Investigators said the suspect, described as a woman appearing to be in her 40s, allegedly chased a man with a knife before he escaped. According to the Houston Police Department, the deceased man appeared to be in his 30s and was found collapsed in a ditch near the roadway.
