The event took place at a strip mall at the intersection of Boone and Harwin. The Houston Police Department received the report at 8:15 p.m. Upon arriving at the location, officers located shell casings in a parking lot and a vehicle with windows shot out. A suspect, described as a male, was observed firing a gun in the nightclub's parking lot before fleeing from police. While fleeing, the suspect lost control after going over a railroad track and crashed into a nearby building, causing extensive damage. https://twitter.com/houstonpolice/status/1662335134861778945 The suspect then left the damaged vehicle and fled the scene on foot. The immediate area was locked down by Houston Police, while they searched for him.

May 20, 2023 - A chemical fire broke out early Saturday morning around 4:30 a.m. at a metal plating facility in southwest Houston. The fire occurred in the 6200 block of Royalton Street @ Elm St. and quickly escalated to a three-alarm fire. No injuries were reported. A precautionary shelter-in-place was issued by the City of Houston after the fire reignited later in the morning. (This has since been lifted). It is not known if the warehouse was open at the time of the fire, but several employees were spotted outside of the facility. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental, but HFD is still investigating and has not released an official cause. The business, High Tech Finishing, specializes in aviation interior plating. The Emergency Communications Division of the Houston Police Department initially received a call about the disturbance which led to a shooting. On arrival at the scene, officers found a deceased male with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim is believed to be in his 50s, pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. A witness who stayed at the scene told police that the suspect was driving a dark-colored truck. The deceased has since been identified as Jaime Torres, who was 26 years old. . Houston Police officers found two people with gunshot injuries. The first victim, a male in his forties, had a gunshot wound.
