HOUSTON - A second suspect has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old found in southwest Houston in November 2024, according to the Houston Police Department. Police said Timmathy Elijah Jones, 21, has been charged with capital murder in the death of Jose Rodriguez. The charge was filed in the 209th Criminal District Court. Deputies responded to a life-in-danger call at the apartment complex in the 10225 block of Wortham Boulevard, where EMS personnel were already administering CPR to the child. According to the Houston Police Department, the patrol unit was traveling westbound on Clay Road when it collided with a civilian vehicle traveling northbound on Gessner.
