HOUSTON, TX - Dozens of pro-Palestine protestors gathered outside of the Harris County Jail Friday night. The protestors demanded the immediate release of three other protestors who were arrested at an Al Quds Day protest in Houston's Galleria area.

HOUSTON, TX - Joseph Rodolfo Rodriguez is now charged with murder following a double shooting that happened at a YouTube Influencer party at a warehouse just north of Downtown Houston. The shooting left one man injured and another dead. The shooting happened on October 14, 2023, in the 1100 block of Providence Street, just north of Downtown Houston around 1:40 a.m. When officers arrived, they learned that a man was arguing with others about a backpack that was allegedly stolen from him before he was shot. That man was identified as 20-year-old Zayden Kimple. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Kimple, but he was later pronounced deceased at Ben Taub Hospital in the medical center. HOUSTON, TX - Ricardo Domingo Reyna has turned himself in to police after he allegedly shot Jaime Torres-DeLeon, at a party last Friday while under the influence of Xanax and alcohol. According to police, he was asked to leave the party after becoming belligerent. While he was waiting outside for his ride, Reyna got into a verbal altercation with DeLeon and at one point pulled out a handgun and fired multiple rounds, striking DeLeon several times in the 800 block of Catherwood Place Lane in the Cloverleaf area of Houston. DeLeon was then transported to a local hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics where he was pronounced deceased. DeLeon was just 34 years old. HOUSTON, TX - Charges have been filed against two cousins, Edward Felton Edmond, Jr., 29, and Lason Edmond, 22, in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred at Driscoll Place apartments around 4:10 a.m. on September 16, 2023. The suspects are charged with capital murder in the 184th State District Court. The victim has been identified as Vandy Williams, III, a 33-year-old male. According to HPD's Homicide Division, the Houston Police Department patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the apartment complex. HOUSTON - A fatal car accident that claimed the life of 17-year-old Marissa Romain occurred around 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, on Dixie Farm Road. According to police, Marissa Romain was driving a 2009 black Mitsubishi Galant eastbound near the 1800 block of Dixie Farm Road when her vehicle struck a curb and she lost control. The car then veered to the right, hitting a concrete ditch and a tree. The impact caused Marissa to be partially ejected from the vehicle. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Marissa deceased at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (March 30, 2024) A woman, who is believed to be the children's nanny may have minimized the impact of a vehicle that struck her and two toddlers while out for a walk in northwest Harris County on Imperial Landing Lane just past 8:00 p.m. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the woman took the two-year-old girl and three-year-old boy for a walk in a cloth-type Radio Flyer wagon when she noticed a car, which might have been speeding was headed for them. At the last minute, she was able to push the wagon with the two toddlers and then tried to jump out of the way herself. Police believe her actions may have minimized the impact of the crash. HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a birthday party at The Tiffany I apartment complex located in the 6100 Block of Winsome Lane around 1:30 a.m. The shooting, which resulted in three people being injured unfolded after a neighbor repeatedly requested the occupants of the apartment unit to lower the volume of their music. According to police, the dispute escalated after the neighbor came for a third time to ask for the music to be turned down. This time, the neighbor returned armed and demanded the occupants turn the music off. A struggle ensued during which the gun discharged into the air. HOUSTON - According to the Houston Police Department, a man was spotted shortly after 3 a.m. walking on railroad tracks near Hempstead Rd and 610. A conductor who was in a stopped train spotted the man cross in front of his train before witnessing the man being struck by an oncoming freight train. Once the train stopped, the conductor then checked on the man. The Houston Fire Department then carried him into the back of an ambulance and the man was transported to a nearby hospital. HOUSTON, Texas — A 23-year-old man was fatally shot at a large gathering on the evening of Friday in the 800 block of Rosewick, as reported by the Houston Police Department (HPD). The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. at a residence hosting 20-30 attendees, including children. According to HPD, the suspect, a man in his mid-20s, was allegedly under the influence of Xanax and was highly intoxicated at the gathering. HARRIS COUNTY - Sheriff Ed Gonzalez of the Harris County Sheriff's Office provided an update about a officer-involved shooting that took place at 9150 State Highway 6 North, near 290. The incident occurred after deputies were dispatched following at least two calls about suspicious individuals possibly breaking into cars at an apartment complex. Upon arrival, a deputy identified a male matching the reported description near a vehicle, along with a bag on top of the vehicle. The male was found to have a pistol on him, which was visible when the deputy approached.
