Missing 5-year-old girl found safe after Amber Alert in north Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A 5-year-old girl who was reported missing from an apartment complex in north Houston has been found safe. The child, Royalte Williams, was previously reported missing from the Oakridge Apartment Homes located in the 600 block of Rush Creek Drive. An Amber Alert had been issued on behalf of the Houston Police Department after she was last seen around 11:05 p.m. on foot wearing a multi-colored dress and pink slippers. According to Houston police, the child’s mother said she was placing her twin babies into a vehicle when she turned around and the child was gone. Officers searched the area throughout the night using drones, helicopters, and K-9 units. She has since been located safely. No additional information has been released.
