According to police, the individual was walking in the middle of the road when they were struck by a vehicle. The driver pulled over almost immediately into a nearby parking lot to figure out what happened. At that time, 911 was called. Police said there were no signs of intoxication and no indication the crash was intentional. Investigators are still working to verify the circumstances leading up to the pedestrian being in the roadway. No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
