HOUSTON, TX – A burglary suspect was taken into custody after being found stuck in a chimney at a home in southwest Houston around 1 a.m. on Easter Sunday, after he apparently confused Easter with Christmas. https://youtu.be/z_RBQox4jKY The incident occurred in the 9100 block of Tooley. According to the Houston Police Department, the call initially came in as someone jumping on the roof. Officers determined the individual was a burglary suspect who became stuck partway inside a chimney and did not make entry into the home. The Houston Fire Department responded to the scene and removed the suspect from the chimney. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Officers responded to a call from a nearby resident and, upon arrival, located an adult male, approximately in his early 20s, pronounced deceased at the scene. A homeowner reported hearing a gun fired followed immediately by a crash. The homeowner then went outside and found the male in the front yard. The number of shots fired is not specified. Houston Police responded to the scene. One individual was pronounced deceased in the parking area near the entrance. Another person was transported by the Houston Fire Department. Evidence markers, with what appeared to be shell casings, were located outside in the parking lot area. A security officer was also detained at the scene, but their role is unknown at this time. HOUSTON, TX – A 5-year-old girl who was reported missing from an apartment complex in north Houston has been found safe. The child, Royalte Williams, was previously reported missing from the Oakridge Apartment Homes located in the 600 block of Rush Creek Drive. An Amber Alert had been issued on behalf of the Houston Police Department after she was last seen around 11:05 p.m. on foot wearing a multi-colored dress and pink slippers. According to Houston police, the child’s mother said she was placing her twin babies into a vehicle when she turned around and the child was gone. Officers searched the area throughout the night using drones, helicopters, and K-9 units. She has since been located safely. No additional information has been released.

A neighbor said the home was undergoing renovations in preparation to be used as a short-term rental for the World Cup. One firefighter was transported to a hospital, but their condition remains unknown. However, the firefighter walked to the ambulance with assistance. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
