Police said the homeowner, a woman in her late 70s, struck both suspects during the gunfight. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both suspects were transported to area hospitals, where one remains in critical condition and the other is in stable condition. Police confirmed there were other people inside the home at the time, but none of them exchanged gunfire with the suspects.
