HOUSTON, TX – A passenger was killed after a Dodge Charger crashed during a pursuit involving Harris County Constable Precinct 2 deputies in southeast Houston. https://youtu.be/JLUbYoaATrk Deputies initially observed the vehicle speeding and driving recklessly on the freeway. When they attempted to stop it, the driver refused to pull over, running multiple red lights before losing control. The vehicle went airborne and crashed into a tree near the 9700 block of Clearwood, close to Almeda Genoa and Blackhawk. Houston Police Department is leading the investigation. HOUSTON, TX – A driver was killed early this morning after a wrecker truck struck a disabled vehicle on the Southwest Freeway at Westpark Drive, near Chimney Rock. https://youtu.be/eKG5nEnDW10 The crash occurred around 2:17 a.m. when a small black Mazda, already disabled on the roadway, was hit and pushed a good distance up the freeway by the wrecker. The Mazda’s driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The wrecker driver was not injured but was shaken up. No charges have been filed at this time.

HOUSTON, TX — Greenwood Lounge released a formal statement addressing a law enforcement operation that took place at the business during the early morning hours of Dec. 6. According to the statement, at approximately 3 a.m., an investor for Greenwood Lounge was stopped by law enforcement while en route to the establishment, removed from his vehicle, detained, and transported to the front entrance of the lounge. The investor was then escorted inside by multiple officers and questioned regarding an allegation that alcohol had been sold to an undercover officer. Greenwood Lounge stated it operates as a BYOB venue and that any alcohol stored on site was secured in locked cabinets for future, scheduled day-party events. HOUSTON, TX - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash in the 2400 block of Bissonnet Street near Rice Village. https://youtu.be/AFxBzn1PRx0 The crash occurred around 7:25 p.m. A 57-year-old man was standing or walking in the roadway when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver did not remain at the scene. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division Hit and Run Unit is investigating.
