According to police, a woman in her 40s was inside a Ford Expedition with two dogs while parked on the tracks for unknown reasons. A Union Pacific freight train then struck the vehicle. The woman was transported to a hospital in stable condition, the two dogs were taken to a shelter, and the train crew was not injured. The scene was cleared shortly after 1 a.m.
