HOUSTON, TX – A wanted suspect was found dead after barricading himself inside an apartment in southeast Houston while members of a U.S. Marshals task force attempted to serve a warrant. The incident started around 5 p.m. in the 1200 block of Redford. Members of the Gulf Coast Task Force, which is part of the U.S. Marshals Service, were serving a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The warrant is believed to have originated from the Friendswood Police Department, and Harris County Precinct 2 constables were assisting. HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police responded to reports of a large crowd gathering at a nightclub in north Houston after a gunshot was reported during an event late Saturday night. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. at Cowgirls, located in the 11400 block of the North Freeway. According to police, officers with the Houston Police Department North Division arrived and found approximately 500 people gathered in the parking lot and another 500 people inside the nightclub. While officers were on scene, someone in the crowd discharged a firearm. HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police are investigating after a man was found unresponsive near downtown Houston late Saturday night. Officers with the Houston Police Department South Central Division responded around 11 p.m. to the intersection of Chartres Street and Congress Street regarding a male who was unresponsive and not breathing. Upon arrival, officers located the man unresponsive. The Houston Fire Department responded and pronounced him deceased at the scene. HOUSTON, TX – A man in his 20s was fatally shot during an argument outside a shopping center in west Houston. The shooting occurred around 10:20 p.m. in front of a shopping center located at 2323 S. Kirkwood Road. Police said the victim and suspect were believed to be acquaintances when they became involved in an argument. During the dispute, the suspect shot the victim.
