The shooting occurred around 5:05 p.m. on April 9, 2026, at 7526 Martin Luther King Boulevard. According to the Houston Police Department, patrol officers responded to a shooting call and located an unresponsive male near a vehicle in the roadway. According to police, officers responded to a shooting call and learned a suspect had broken into a home while the homeowner was awake and inside.
