Second murder charge filed against inmate in deaths of two 17-year-olds

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Harris County Sheriff's Office homicide detectives have filed a murder charge against 19-year-old Enrique Aguilar in connection with the death of 17-year-old Angel Garcia, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. Sheriff Gonzalez noted that Aguilar was charged on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, for his alleged involvement in Garcia's death. Investigators said Garcia was murdered on Aug. 30, 2025, in the 14700 block of Waldine Street in north Harris County. KATY, Texas — A man was shot and killed after a fight broke out during a large gathering in the Katy area early Sunday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were dispatched around 12:15 a.m. to the 24600 block of Sandal Springs in reference to a fight disturbance. While the caller was still on the line with 911, shots were reported outside the home where the party was taking place. When deputies arrived, they found an approximately 45-year-old Black male deceased at the scene. Investigators determined a large party was taking place at the residence when a fight broke out involving multiple individuals. HOUSTON — Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to the 6100 block of Marinette Drive in the Sharpstown area after reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to police, the investigation later indicated the driver may have intentionally struck the victim. HOUSTON — A man was struck and killed by a train in northwest Houston at approximately 2:20 a.m. near the 5600 block of West Tidwell Road near Antoine Drive. According to the Houston Police Department, the man was lying on the railroad tracks when the train conductor spotted him and sounded the train's horn.
