HOUSTON — A driver was critically injured after a vehicle reportedly went airborne and crashed into another vehicle on the East Freeway early Sunday morning. According to the Houston Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:17 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 between the Waco and Lockwood exits. Witnesses reported a blue Ford Explorer was traveling on the frontage road at a high rate of speed when it lost control, went airborne over an embankment and landed on the eastbound freeway. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at approximately 3:40 a.m. when water leaked onto two electrical panel boxes, causing a small electrical panel short circuit. KATY, Texas — A 76-year-old woman died after a Tesla crashed into her home Friday evening in the 21300 block of Rose Hollow Lane, according to investigators.
